That's the speed of your connection. So lets say for example, you have 1mb. I have 500k.jayd said:Whats the score regarding Bandwidth?
I understand the 'more' bandwidth, the slower the internet speed/connection, right?
How can I keep my internet connection running at top speed?

Not entirely true. If the other two users wherent using a lot of bandwidth, you would get the leftovers.computerhakk said:That's the speed of your connection. So lets say for example, you have 1mb. I have 500k.
So this means.. you have "more" bandwith.. so your connection will be faster.
But, what you mean is.. If let's say you have 3 computers in your house using that one connection. Then imagine it as.. it'll sorta be split up into 3 channels. You'll have like 333k of bandwith being used in each of your pc. So like you said, "the more bandwith, the slower the internet speed"
"More" people/pc are using that one 1mb you have thus, more bandwith the slower the internet. So with that, my 500 would be faster than your 333
Well yea, its set as an example for him/her to get the idea of it and how the whole bandwith "more" term works.Motoxrdude said:Not entirely true. If the other two users wherent using a lot of bandwidth, you would get the leftovers.
As for saving bandwidth, close P2P programs, and stick a WEP or WPA security on your wireless network if you have one.
