If you only have composite cables, and dont want to buy component, then dont even bother with an HD TV since they cant handle HD resolutions.

yo i was looking at ur diagram. NICE..lol..
i once hosted a 1 on1 xbox lan with a crossover cable (using static IP) to play far cry instincts. was really good.Hope yours turn out ok

I was told that I wont need a crossover.
Will an ordinary ethernet work for me? Hosting?


Or like how will it switch know whos host.

I dont feel like reading over all your threads, so im assuming your LAN party will be for a few people (under 15 or so). You can either buy a router with enough ports, buy multiple 4-port routers, switch, etc.

If your connecting to a router, you simply connect everyone to it and it will assign IP's automatically, and you can use a straight through or crossover cable.
