Tiscali... WTF

OK well I Subscribed to the £17.99 a month package from Tiscali. And as I'm 17 I don't have much money coming in so I thought this was ideal. When my first bill came through it said I needed to pay £33 for that month. I ignored this thinking it was just something normal. And then second bill came a month later saying £36. I just want to know if this is normal or if someone can just tell me if it's happening to them as well. I just want a normal price for my broadband which to be honest is not really fast anyway so why raise the price. Please comment!! :)

Phone them up. If you only subscribed to £17.99 then they're over charging you. The first debit is slightly more understandable because they did this with my NTL, but it should of gone normal by the s2nd.

I think you normally pay double for the first bill - because you pay one month in advance, so it's like paying 2 months to begin with.

Yeah, being over charged the first month might make sence, for two reasons, what David_UK said, or sometimes you pay a set-up/startup/one time free to begin with, but the second month should be what you ordered.
