tmpgenc problem

hey so heres the problem i had a virus and i had to do system restore so i had to reinstall all my dvd burning/converting progs and when i went to tmpgenc when i clicked open movie it says that the file cannot open or unsupported but i dont understand because it worked before and ive tried more than one different movie file please help
