To buy a new Pc or upgrade?

Don't buy an overclocked or as HIS say "turbo edition" graphics card, the performance gain is usually very little and they charge a lot more than they're worth. Just get a regular one.

Sapphire are a great brand, they make great cards - better than ASUS or XFX I think!

What about the rams i posted? and if you can, could you briefly explain how to tell if a ram or which rams are compatable with your pc.. i know the ddr3 bit but thats about it.

What RAM do you have at the moment? If you download CPU-Z and look on the memory tab you can find out.

Can anyone help me with RAMs? im looking to purchase these 4GB ( 2 X 2GB ) 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 and currently have Elpida 1Rx8 PC3-8000U-7-10-AP and i got four of em. Yes or no?

Ok, so i went for the 12GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Kit of 3) for $88, PSU cx600v2 for $87 and the Sapphire 7850 for $250. Over my initial budget but i guess this things gonna run for another good couple of years. I was just curious aswell, would it b a good idea if i upgrade to Windows 7?

You can upgrade to 7 if you like, I'd only upgrade though if you feel there's something wrong with Vista.

Meh only upgrade if you feel you need to, otherwise spend it on a nice meal out or save it for a rainy day or something.

Back at uuni no partying for a while... haha

I might upgrade since im am going to reformat thr 3yr old pc anways and the guy im getting it done has his ways and i dont think itll cost me anymore than 40 to format and ind istall win7

Ok so i bought all the stuff and put it in... it is so quiet i do not notice its on anymore. Before when i use to start it up it would sound like a blow dryer on high for the first few seconds, now i turn it on it is so quiet i check to see if i actually turned it on haha.

Well just posting to say thanks to all those who help me do my first upgrade and it will not be my last now ;)
