Today I put a new heatsink in and.....

Now when I go to my devices page its says 8GB but 3.99 usable? I overclocked the multiplayer on my mobo from 20x to 21 x . I installed a hyper 212 evo.

When I started Rise of the tomb raider after and the game ran fine as it did before... Is this caused by bent CPU pins ? Because if it is then it will be the second time that I have done this

Any ideas?

No, it wouldn't be from bent cpu pins. Remove memory and reinsert and see if it changes. May want to try resetting cmos as well.

Did you bend a few CPU pins? If you didn't remove the CPU from the socket then this isn't really a concern unless you've bent them on the same board previously.

I'd test with each singular stick individually and with both memory channels.

Well I remounted the CPU , heatlink, Ram and it came back online.

I had this happen to me when I first built my system. Probably a result of your motherboard not detecting your RAM correctly. I fixed my issue by manually setting the RAM speeds in BIOS.
