I am playing through the games I purchased for 7.99 @ Newegg - and the favorite I've found is Clancy's Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. I just broke it out yesterday - and played a little today. Playing the single player mode for starters - haven't gotten through the whole game as of yet?

Does Clancy have any other games with a Similar theme.

Is Rainbow 6 Vegas - as good of a game as Vegas 2 - is it much different? Worth purchasing?

What about Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - is gameplay similar? - Worth purchasing for 10 bucks?

I was a bit disappointed with Brothers in arms Hell's Highway. Controls move a bit slow for my liking. And Enemy Territory - seems a little monotonous but I may have to play a little more to get the hang of it.

none of the splinter cell games are like rainbow six, they are more lonewolf stealth shoter games than recon squad based shooter games.

Endwar is a pretty cool game, i played the demo on xbox about a month back now, not my type of game, but neither is rainbow six, but i can tell you they are very similar, you should try it out

I like lone shooter games - COD WOW is a blast. The part of Rainbow 6 I liked was the gameplay - the weapons - pace of the game - etc. The squad of 2 that accompanied my shooter was NOT what made the game cool to me. It was the actual play of the game < as a shooter >

I watched the gameplay on Youtube - and it didn't really look that interesting to me. I prefer the shooting - vs directing the shooting. a squad of 2 - with Rainbow 6 was fine - but the shooter was the main part of the game.

I'd be more interested in Lone shooter games than strategy game like Endwar.

i messed up, too many Damn Tom Clancy: This that and other.

I meant TC:GRAW (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter). That is like Rainbow Six, not endwar :P

Defiantly go for the first Rainbow Six Vegas it is just as good as the first one.

Ya mean Rainbow 6 Vegas is as good as Rainbow 6 Vegas 2?

I've got Vegas 2 - and figured Vegas would be an earlier release?

They are not the same game though right?

No different maps some different guns but game play is identical. Also the ranking is a little different.

Sweet, After I get bored of these maps - I'll grab teh Vegas 1 too then. Like I mentioned earlier - I'm learning the game now - and will try to go online after I have gone through the game a few times in full.

Then go for the Vegas 1 for variety.

For 10 bucks - it's pretty sweet game.

I have never played them on PC but I was addicted to both of them on xbox 360. I love the tactical part of it. Online is awesome probably the best online
co-op game I have ever played.

did you find that your left trigger finger started to ache after maybe an hour of play because you have to hold it to stay in cover?

No not at all, I used to be a hard core gamer so holding a controller for hours didn't bother me. The only game I ever played that made my finger hurt was guitar hero. Well it didn't really make my finger hurt just gave me hand cramps.

im not a big fan of rainbow six vegas 2. COD is much much better.

Rainbow six Vegas and COD are to totally different games. You can't compare the two. If you don't like R6V then that's fine but don't compare it to another game that it is noting like.

lol, i am the other way round, but that is because i have spent so long playing guitar hero, rock band etc. I should have spent the time playing real guitar not plastic guitar :P

RSV2 is a squad based, tactical shooter, CoD is a lonewolf, run around and shoot everything that moves game shooter. Not both have shooter, that is about as far as similarities go.

I like em both.

Sneaking around with the tactical hunt and shoot - is a nice change of pace from a run - shoot - stab feel of COD online.

I haven't played Vegas Six online yet - will probably play offline for a while first. So I don't know how that dynamic changes when going on the net. Offline it's pretty cool though.
