Too ADD for stealth games

I play a lot of FPS games, some of which are of the stealthier variety, but my ADD keeps kicking in during gameplay. I just can't sit in those shadows for long. Waiting for that guard to pass by or get to the place I need him just drives me mad. Sometimes I just have to blow my cover and go insane thus ruining my stealth and sometimes even ruining a mission. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just the most impatient person ever?
 
I hate games like that too lol.

Day of defeat is a GREAT game, where you "can" camp but I never do I just use my trustey ol thompson and knife. Its ONLY multiplayer though
 
Definelty not alone..... why do you think I never bought a Splinter Cell game??? I just have the impulse to pop out of the shadows and start shooting wildly.....
 
I feel sorry for you guys but a good game that is more or less run in with your guns blazing is halo. :)
 
Funny, I prefer the stealth based games. I find them more realistic in that it's possible to sneak past all the guards/soldiers but it isn't very likely that you can rambo your way through like you can in a lot of FPSs and I also find them more challenging.

Agree, those are my favorite type games.

Splintercell and Thief series are my favs :)
 
I cant just sit and wait I always sucked at the sniper matches on UT I'd run around trying to use the sniper rifle like a machine gun. Never worked for me head shot head shot head shot. lol
 
i like doing both, hiding in shadows, wating is fun. while getting the biggest freaking machine gun in the game and mowing EVERYONE down, including people on your team is also VERY fun!
 
i like the game farcry very much. the best chanse of survival you have when you sneak. but its not nesesairy.. :P
same a bit for the battlefield games. (camping in BF:Vietnam ^_^ )
 
I'm about to order Pandora Tomorrow, I love Splinter Cell. I also love turning up the terrorist count to 50 on Rogue Spear and mowing them down with a machine gun (only when I get ADD)... Tom Clancy makes great games. :)
 
Heh, my friend and I played Splinter Cell co-op for about 3 hours, and he now refuses to even hear the words "Splinter Cell" in my presence. I'm sorry, but when I get a chance to shoot my team-mate in the crotch, I'm takin' it. There are some stealth-based games that I can play correctly (such as thief, and, in non-coop mode, Splinter Cell), but sometimes, I just want to remover my team-mate's genitalia with an assault rifle. Is that so much to ask?
 
Tom Clancy does a lot of non-fiction as well. But his stories make good games (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, etc)
 
Sorry for the confusion, yes stories. I've erad a couple and they are amazing. The best he's written so far is Rainbow Six. Very good story based games as well.
 
i like operation rad storm and the hunt for the red october als very very much :)
