Too GPU power?

I was wondering, do you ever think you can have too much GPU power for smaller games? For example like say if i were to have dual GTX Titan X's and only running Tema Fortress 2, would it mess up the game at all?

No, it wouldn't. What makes you think it would?

If anything you'll just consume more electricity and make more heat than is needed, but that difference is probably negligible.

Some ancient games didn't have rate limiters but those were more CPU oriented and the speed of the game was dependent on clock speed.

Otherwise if you only play old games it's a waste of cash to buy high end hardware, otherwise you'll just run it faster than you did before.
