Too Many Popups

I have just recently been getting pop ups on all the computers in the house. (I just recently installed a wireless router; don’t know if that could be the reason for the problem, I would guess not.) They are not the kind that just keep popping up and prevent you from using the internet but none the less it gets really annoying. I have scanned each computer for viruses and spyware, cleaning what comes up. I have installed on my laptop a free version of a pop up blocker, which is terrible. What can I do to stop these pop ups.

Boot the machine to safe mode and scan using Adaware and Spybot S&D. Sometimes if you scan while windows is in regular mode, it won't fully clean it. Stuff is continuing to run and what not...

IE 7 the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer has a popup blocker included for the first time as well as an "antiphising" filter which will serve to block out or warn on certain web sites. Here an addon tool bar has a great blocker where you can still right click to open a new window for something you want to open.

You would need the InfoSpace toolbar which is far less vulnerable to spybots and adbots then the Google type. But any of these still allow for some garbage to get through. No blocker will stop 100% of them unfortunately. That's the misery of web browsing these days! The InfoSpace toolbar is found at http://www.infospace.com/home/tbar/ You can give this one a good run to see if you notice a big reduction with the included blocker.
