Too much security??

I have a notebook, purchased several months ago. Off and on it will not let me onto cetain webpages, like comcast or my online banking saying my computer is set to disable cookies. I have gone through the security program, enabled cookies etc nothing fixes it. Sometimes it will correct after several days on its own. Lately it gives several security messages for each website. I think I may have more than one firewall, one through microsoft and one through Trend Mico PC-illin. Even when I disable one of the firewalls it still doesnt work. Any ideas?? Dell suggests that I restore the computer to factory install.
