Took the test : SiSoftware Sandra-Home made Athlon XP 3200+ is REAL-NOT FAKE

Even forgiving the 195vs200 core clock which is acceptable, theres no way you'll overcome the missing 256K of L2 :) Not to suggest you've not done a nice OC or anything, you'll need to get more than 200x11 to get a real PR of more than 3200 ... regardless of what Sandra tells you ... my guess is prolly 220MHz core.

Absolutely, long time since ive seen those ... most of what i see now are "using windows tools" to "oc" your computer lol

The Tech Report said:
At this point, there's been no official confirmation of Thorton's existence from AMD. However, The Inquirer points out that the latest BIOS for Epox's 8RDA+ explicitly adds support for the Thorton core
Interesting ... in any case, it does seem like, Thorton = Barton - 256K ... but that doesnt clearly define the difference between TBredB and Thorton (because ive seen conflicting reports on the core clock for Thortons)

looks like i got a athlon 3200+ for very small money, but as i said it doesn't matter cuz i'm gonna upgrade my computer soon.
