Torrent Limit per connection

I'm living in an apartment with another person, and this guy keeps on torrenting all day. I can't stream anything on youtube. Is there a way for me to put a limit on how much of the speed he can use to download torrent? I can't ask him directly to stop torrenting.

umm tell him to stop cause its illegal. Most torrents are DL illegal anyways. But go into your router settings and look for something that allows you to limit BW per IP address. Or block that program from accessing the net

Man that sucks dude, well you can go directly to the computer and open up the torrent, and limit the downloading speed/quanity of the stuff downloaded at one time...

Depending on the router, you might be able to set the QoS and limit torrents (or bandwidth in general) from the IP address of that other computer.
