torrent openers

bitcomet is a nice easy one to use

believe Azureus is more preffered along with possibly utorrent at times

not the programs themselves but some torrent downloads might have them contained within, just be sensible

I use Azureus, it doesnt contain any spyware. The only complain i have about it is it uses alot of memory if you leave it on for an hour or so.

It depends on how many peers/seeds you are connected to.

Azureus is the better program out there.

They all do pretty much the same thing. Some just comes with extra tools that can help/not help you with certain things like port forwarding, etc..

Azureus is one of the ones out there that are java based.. so you need sufficient specs to get it to run smoothly.

Other clients are just plain old sole purpose is to just download the torrent, like uTorrent. Which can be executed without any installation.

Other clients like Bitcomet and others have more tools available and you can use it to your benefit, granted you know how to use it.

However, it all narrows down to how many seeders, your download speed, upload speed, and your ports.

i only use it to download white stripes and raconteurs concerts off dime a dozen. those are uncopyrighted, so its perfectly legal.
Exactly how the technology stays legal. Even if 99% of it used for illegal downloading.

Great technology, abused.

what does seeding mean?
seeding is when one person has the COMPLETE file, and he uploads it to other uses downloading it

so basically a seeder is someone who only uploads, doesnt download

i've used
Bitcomet, Azureus and uTorrent
i liked uTorrent the most
NOTE: Bitcomet is banned in some FAST trackers due to not supporting a flag thingy
