Toshiba 1410 upgrade

Hey everyone,

hope you can help me with this

i have a Toshiba 1410 (Model no PS141A-04YCZP)

which is an ex school computer that i plan to use as a music server

it has 256m memory and 20gb hard drive i want to upgrade both of these things and try and get a problem with the case fixed
i am in australia and am wondering would would be the maximum specs i can get out of it hard drive a mem wise and the cost

also i have lost the restore disks and want to copy my old hard drive to the new one (if i can get a larger one) how do i do that (cheapest way) without a desktop pc?

the only thing you can upgrade is the RAM and HD, i'd say get another/newer laptop..

yes i know that i just want to know how much it will cost and how much i can fit in. and where do i get it
