Toshiba L305 (Laptop) CPU Upgrade

I just picked this laptop up and, while it's quite fast as it is, I'm wondering if I should upgrade the cpu, to future proof it a bit.

It currently has the Intel Celeron 585 (single core @ 2.16Ghz). I'm looking into the T3400 (Pentium Dual Core @ 2.16Ghz). I can get the T3400 for around $70, but is the price worth the upgrade?

At this point, unless someone knows of a supplier that sells dual core Socket P cpu's for a decent price, I'm limited to the T3400 as an upgrade option..

Thoughts?

Do you know somebody who can do the upgrade? Or do you know how to do it yourself? Upgrading laptops is usually limited to only the RAM.
 
I can do it myself.. I've done a few in the past. Nothing this new, but the processor looks fairly easy to remove/replace on this board. Thanks for the heads up, though :)

The laptop ended up being slightly defective, so I exchanged it tonight for a better laptop:

AMD Turion x2 RM-70 @ 2.0Ghz (1MB L2 Cache, HyperTransport 3)
3GB PC26400 (800Mhz, 6-6-6-18 @ 1.8v)
15.4" WXGA Display
DVD SuperMulti with LabelFlash
802.11a/b/g/n Wireless
250GB HDD
ATI Radeon 3100 Graphics
Vista Home Premium SP1
etc
etc

The only down side is the battery life, it's 1 hour 38 minutes lol... I'll be grabbing a 9 cell extended battery on my next check, though.

Anyways, ignore the cry for help in the original post.. I no longer have that laptop :)

and in reply to prevouis message u can change laptops CPU RAM Network card grapic card and sond card and HDD i think

There were a few minor problems, but the biggest issue was it wouldn't take a charge. It also had a dead pixel on the screen and the hinges were a bit squeaky.
