Toshiba satellite blue screen, no safe mode. please help!

what I think happened is I went to shut down and I had the option to install am update then shut down and I must have unplugged the computer. now I just get a blue screen with errors and it reboots and does it all over again. I cannot get into safe mode or system please help.

Have you tried last known good in the safe mode options? Do you have the OS install cd? You can try doing a repair install. If you can't get into windows, you will be forced to back up your data and do a fresh install. Unfortunately, I had to do the same for a client a few months ago and it was from a windows update too.

yes I have tried the last know config. unfortunately, I do not have the install disk. so it's looking like I will have to take it somewhere so they can get the files off of it. how much is am install disk for vista?
 
What is the model number of the laptop? Sometimes you can order them online from the manufacturer.
 
You can remove the drive from your laptop and try attaching it to another system to see if you can transfer your files over.
