I bought my first ever notebook a month ago, the toshiba satellite C50D-A-13G, and I must say I am a bit disappointed by it's performance. The specs are here: http://www.toshiba.co.uk/laptops/satellite/c50/satellite-c50d-a-13g/tab/reviews/ . With a quadcore processor, 8gb ddr3 ram I would expect it would be at least mediocre for playing few years old games, but it's actually really bad. Even when googling something in Firefox, the whole thing gets frozen for few seconds.
I also own an old pc, bought in early 2007, and it's so much faster in every aspect I find it hard to believe. The pc specs are intel dual core E6200, 4gb ram and 1gb nvidia gts250 card, it has 3 years non formated system (!), but it still runs everything so much faster...
Can you explain me why this notebook is so slow, while it has decent specs? Even my friends who have much older notebooks run the same games as I try much faster. What is the obvious weakness, is it the graphic card? Can it be the pre-installed abomination called windows 8? And is there a way how to make my notebook run faster?
thanks
