I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4360 laptop that won't POST. When I turn it on, it's power LED turns on, and it accepts the lock keys (Caps, Num, and Scrl) for a limited amount of time, but the screen does not power on, meaning that not only is there nothing on the display, the screen's backlight is not on. The CPU fan does not come on at power on as it normally does, and there is no HD accessing like when it's booting or something. It happened when I got a new battery for it, and I put it in to charge, and then powered it off because I thought it would charge faster. I then changed my mind decided to power it on immediately after it shutdown and then this problem occurred. I took the unit apart, cleaned it, checked connections and such. I found that someone posted on this forum about 3 yrs ago about this same problem, but he didn't get an answer. Maybe there is a member that knows what this is now.
