where or can someone or something tell me the total wattage ill be using in my new computer sop when i OC my cpu i wont go in my danger zone

iam usin like 463 watts out of my 500wat psu
and this is just a basic computer with a good video card

can i
use 2 psus there ... guessing same brand there both ultras both 500wats
but iam not worried bout mounting and storage leave it my me but will it work

Sorry to hear that :( and also it's not good to max put you PSU ether so what you are using right now should be just about it. :(
 
alright just werid the psu i bought and case i got have the exact same psu
can i use them both,at the same time in one computer
 
if you wanted to, bit id say just get one good PSU..... also that calculator is at 100% usage, not at idle
 
I seriously doubt it because the PSU has to be plugged in to a MOBO to start unless hotwire it,
So on second thought if you hotwired it might work so it could work I guess.

well heres whats in my computer
intel pentium 4 550
nvidia ge-force 7900 GS
1g ram
2 120's
250gb hdd



now my new computer will have

c2d e6300 *planning to OC*
same graphic card
500gb hdd
asus p5NSLI mobo
1gb ram *diffrent from above*

all on the same 500wat psu

will i be....near danger zone

You'll be fine (those P4s draw a lot more power than the C2Ds). 7900GSs don't draw that much either. You won't get close to 463W.

but i can toatly mount the other psu
now, do i want to though

It's not that difficult, this is about what you need to do:

I wouldn't really recommend it, though, particularly if your not confident in splicing wires in your PC. You also need to be a little careful about what gets plugged into which PSU (e.g. DO NOT try to use one just for the video card :)). Plus you need to find a spot, and cut a hole for the second PSU.

Ultra makes/has made quite a few 500W PSUs. Which one?
