touchpad disabled

While I was logged in as a user I accidentally disabled the touch pad on my travelling notebook. Now, while I can get the pointer to work via the touch pad as Administrator I can't get the left and right hand click to work, even though I have been into and checked the touch pad details via Services. How can I enable the touch pad when I can't even get the pointer to work in the original user mode?

I would uninstall the drivers and download the drivers of the laptop makers website and reinstall them. Once you uninstalled the custom drivers windows standard drivers will take over, but all the custom things that your touch pad has won't be enabled until you have the correct drivers. Until then you can navigate using the keyboard which will be possible because windows is designed in such a way that things can be done in at least 3 different ways. Keyboard is easiest, just find the correct keys for navigating using tying until it works (the most random buttons often do the best things;)).
