tracing

If I send an email to someone can they trace me to know my address and other information. If that is true that is rediculous:mad:

They can only see the IP of the mail server that deliverd it to them, it would take a system admin or employee of that mail server system to then track it back to your IP.

Even if they did get your IP, its still ridiculously hard to trace an IP back to a street address, it has to be approved by your ISP and local authorities etc.... and by the soumds of it, this isnt very "high-scale" so i doubt anyone has tracked you down just yet.....

I'm not paranoid or anything its just those people that are after me. :D

So if I send a email to someone they can only see that I sent it through yahoo. Inorder to find my ip they would have to contact yahoo. Then after they contacted yahoo and found my ip address they would have to call the local gyes to know who that ip address is registered to. That doesn't sound to bad:cool:. Whats your thoughts on changing ones ip address and also I went on some sites claiming that they can trace the sender just by having the email message that was sent (header etc. used to find). The cost of this service was about 40 dollars.:( Not good for ones protection
