I am trying to track an IP does anyone have any of that software?

Um ok then. I looked in the rules to try to find something on this subject... I probably over looked it... thanks for letting me know... But why is this illegal... I have seen software for it.

There's free software and even websites that can track IP's, although they aren't very accurate, and if someone is using a proxy it's far off. The only way to get an accurate location is to contact the ISP of that person and find out who had it.

You need at least a police order, and in some places a court order to do that, but if someone stole something for instance and you have their IP, then you have a case.

okay... you nailed my problem on the head...

I sold something on ebay. someone paid fraudulently... lets just say I lost some money. that a case do you think?

yes, but i'd assume it wouldn't be worth the effort. how much did you lose?

also, make sure to contact paypal and/or ebay. i think you would have a better chance with them.

did you not ship the item to the person? and why are you trying track them? taking matters into your own hands?

becuse ebay and paypal's complaint system is terrable
you wont get anyware
this may be against the law BUT
if you got the police involed,
you may end up in court and the cort fee's woud not be worth it
try and employ a P.I
or a ethnical hacker ( not an illgal thing )
