I need to build an inexpensive computer that can run Microsoft Official Courseware. The specs that Microsoft give for their Level Six specifications are as follows:
CPU: 64 bit Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) or AMD Virtualization (AMD-V) processor (2.8 Ghz dual core or better recommended)
Dual 120 GB hard disks 7200 RPM SATA or better (striped)
4GB RAM expandable to 8GB or higher
DVD (dual layer recommended)
Network Adapter
Sound Card
Video Card (Aero-capable recommended)
Super VGA monitor (17 inch/43 cm)
The question is: what it the most inexpensive way I can build this thing? I'm only looking at using it for MOS course evaluations at home, so meeting the minimum recommended standards is fine. I don't need to have a 1 TB hard drive, a screaming CPU, 3D graphics, etc. And since I'm not being reimbursed for the costs, inexpensive is the key word.
Best would be if you can link to a complete build article. If not, then any and all recommendations for components would be appreciated.
