Transferrinf at USB 1.1, not 2.0

I've recently got a Philips flash mp3 player. When I first put it in, it said it wasn't installed correctly. I ignored this, as it worked fine. But I've noticed its transferring at 1.1 speed, not 2.0 (even though it should). How do I go about remedying this?

I've installed the software that came with it, but that just lets me re-format the drive.

No errors, just slow. I used to have a hard-disk based player, but broke it and got my money back. That transferred at about double the speed.

And, here's the proof.

Also, I did some calculations, and worked out it was transferring a bit slower than 1.1, so reckon it's 1.0.

USB flash drives(or MP3 players in this case) aren't always faster than hard drives. I suspect the interface is fine and running at USB2.0. However, you're limited by the speed of the flash.

That is rather slow when compared to other high speed USB flash drives, but actually is about correct if you compare it to benchmarks. Also, write speeds are typically MUCH slower than read speeds.
