Transferring data from 1 HD to another HD

So I ordered a new Desktop... my question is how do i transfer about 80 gb of videos music and other files to my new computer??

1 way and its the way i prefer (because its free) is to take the HD out and put it in the new pc as a slave and just click and drag them over
