Transferring Hard Drive Files

I recently bought a 60 gb hard drive to replace my old 6 gb and really didnt think about how i was going to transfer the files from the 6 gb to the 60 gb. I have heard that you can burn files onto a writable dvd disc but i have also heard that you couldnt. Then i found businesses on the internet that would store information for a fee but i dont want my files coming back corrupted. Just asking if anyone knows the best and safest way, maybe even a way I dont know about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

NOrton ghost would transfer EVERYTHING from one hdd to another.
As houssam_ballet said, just plug each hdd to a different IDE on your motherboard. Then under my computer, you should see both HDD's.
