Transferring settings, files, programs, etc. from one comp to another

Are there any applications out there that will essentially copy a hard drive from one computer to another? I'm looking for an alternative to ghosting a hard drive using something like Norton Ghost, or using the Files and Settings Transfer wizard built into XP. Thanks

what do you want to do exactly, clone or just copy ?
if clone then i suggest you use acronis true image, here

I am using R-Drive for creating an image of the HDD.

Is there any noticeable difference in efficiency between these 2 options, and Symantec/Norton Ghost?

Not really. Tried the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard in Windows XP yet?
