Tri-core processors.

I was looking at AMDs new Tri core Athlon and their Tri Phenoms, thinking of building something for my little brother. I was just wondering if it would be better to go with a Quad Athlon or Phenom.

I plan on ordering a 5570, 5670, or GTS 450.

If you have the money go for the quad. If you do get the tri core I would go for the Phenom II and see if you can unlock the last core.

Depands on what X3 your looking at and what he is going to do with the computer. If he is going to game on it the Phenom II X3 would be a better choice.

I just want to get what would be the most bang for the buck. I want to keep the price down since I can only spend $500-650 on this.

I would get something like this to hold you over for now, then upgrade next year when you have more $.
