I am about to get a new video card for my computer and there is a question i have been trying to answer. There are 3 inputs on the back of it, a vga, dvi, and an s-video. If i plug one into the vga, and plug my TV into the dvi, is there any possible way to get another monitor to work on the s-video, and have a tri-monitor setup on the one card?

I'm pretty sure you'd be limited to clone if it's even possible. I've seen some video cards displaying on all outputs during POST but then going back to dual view in Windows. You can find some relatively cheap video cards though, if you're only wanting basic functionality.
