tri xfire 4870X2

Wow those scores are horrible! They only gained 78 points by having 3 GTX280's versus 2 GTX280's in 3DMark06.

Yeah I heard the third card in SLI only adds an additional ~10% performance increase. But at that point, performance doesn't matter. At that point, you basically just won the lottery and are trying to find ways to spend all your money. Hahaha

the reason it only has one CF connector is that if there were 2 the universe would implode, tearing the fabric of subspace and causing the destruction of the universe. if you think im wrong just google it :D

Wasn't that suppose to happen like a week or two ago with the partical accelerator? :P

Oh dude yeah. Wasn't that the big controversial one, people saying it could spawn a black hole. And then Steven Hawking came up and said that if a black hole were to form it would instantly dissipate? How do these people know things like that!?! Haha

yeah i heard something about that. the only problem with that is subspace tears happen all of the time. however 3 4870x2's have the power to destroy the universe with the tear it would create :P

that'll put a hole in your wallet. jeeze... thats when you need a 5ghz+ core 2 duo processor to prevent bottlenecking. and even then im sure it would.

can you say: dual power supplies.. you'll need two.

and a huge electrical bill... ridiculous

More like a 6GHz Core 2 Quad. :P

Hahaha I did that once on one of those custom building websites that have everything. I just checked the last option in every category. Ended up being like $15,000. It was fun to say the least lol.

if you could find an application that could use all 8 gpu's(assuming you had 4 4870x2's) i do believe msi makes a motherboard with 4 pci-e 2.0 slots on it

True but I don't know if you could use them all. Most cases only have 7 expansion slots. The Skulltrail has 4, except the last 2 are right next to each other. so 4 PCIe, 3 PCI, but I don't think you can use all 4 at once.
