Tried to add RAM to my old computer

It just restarted over and over.
It is a hp pavilion with intel celeron 2.8ghz processor.

Depends, What model HP? What memory it already had? What did you add to it?

Im not sure what model hp but it had 256mb and i tried to add 128mb. It hurt my thumbs putting the ram in.

The old HP's were very picky about what memory they used. Give us the model number of pavillion with what brand and model of old memory and new memory. You may just be better off to save your money and invest in a different better system.
