Trimming Clips from DVD

Hey Troops,

Hoping someone here as some advice on what to do. I'm helping a friend out and what he wants is to make a Video CV of his Rugby, you know the best bits of his game and put them all together.

Now I've got all the DVDs of his games, which are in DVD format (Audio_TS and Video_TS) but what I'm unsure of is how to trim clips from this kind of format, preferably software which isn't hard to use and is easy enough. Once I have all the clips I want in whatever format (AVI, MPEG), I know how to put them all together using DVD maker, but it's getting them clipped out and into that format i'm stuck with!

Any help?

I use Nero to do that exact thing you described. You would need to convert the Video_TS files to AVI or MPEG, edit the video (also using Nero) then re-author the edited video into Video_TS format... which you can also use Nero!
