This computer was not built by me someone build this one for me so the specs are kinda scetchy but here the closest I think I can get to them on this computer.
Asus A7V266-E
Intel III 1.7ghz ????
Apacer 512 DDR Ram
New video card Geforce XFX 126mb
Maxtor HDD
Sound Blater Live
I gave my older computer to my girlfriend not to long after that the thing started to have problems. The problems would be that the computer wouldn't start up all the time it would power on but it wouldn't go anywhere. But sometimes it would work. Well we let it sit for awhile I sold the power supply out of it and now we are tring to get it to work again. I got a new power supply for it hooked it up same problem I messed with some things on the inside removed video card, removed ram, and just put it all back in and it started up. Well the next the same problem happened. So what I did was just removed the ram out of the slot and put it back in and boom the thing started right up. Now for the next problem that occurs on this happened 3 times. When I opened explorer homepage was www.msn.com the thing would lock up and would then return no signal on the monitor and this happened when I tried to open dxdiag it would get to about 4 bar loading and would lock up and then then monitor would say no signal. I ran memtest86 about 5 times and all the times it passed no errors.
So does anyone have any suggestions about what I can do to find the problem or any ideas what it could be.
