On occasion I get the Avast pop-up with the siren, "a virus has been detected". At least, until yesterday it was on occasion. Today it's like I've hit the jackpot. I got three interception messages already. The weird thing is that I'm just checking my emails. Could someone explain what might be behind this increase in attacks? I'm a little worried I'm on a hitlist; is that at all possible? Could I have something on my computer that invites these attacks? Is there anything I can/ should do?

There has been an increase in PHISING lately which may explain it or maybe after it's been deleted/renamed it's logged in the system restore , if you use system restore and you're happy to lose all previous restore points, try turning off system restore and then reactivating it.

Thanks for the response. It just keep going on and on. Even my workemail--with 100% workemails--triggers/ allows it. I'll try the system restore thingy. When I'm offline that is. Cheers.
