Can anyone tell me what it is I am doing wrong. Everytime I download SP 1 and it installs and restarts my computer I am left at my desktop without any of my icons and no task bar. Totally unable to navigate around my computer. But when I restart in safe mode all my icons are there, including task bar and at the top of the desktop it says "Windows XP Service Pack 1" But since I can only use my computer in safe mode at this point I always have to go back to a restore point prior to SP1. What am I doing wrong, and how can I successfully download SP1 and install it?? Help!!
