Trouble Fitting PCI Express Card

I recently built my own computer for the first time. Unfortunatley, the graphics card I bought had a really hard time fitting. It was supposed to go in the PCI Express x16 slot. I forced it in as far as possible, but it was not in all the way. The problem was that there was not enough left to right room for the card to fit. Regular PCI cards do fit, though. I looked anyways in the BIOS and switched off onboard video, but it did not work.

So, I've been looking for another card. But, I need to know if it will fit in the express slot. On the old one, there were three sections of pins. On other PCI express cards, I've noticed one large one and maybe 1 smaller one.

So I don't know if it was the card or my mobo or case. Should I get a regular PCI card or should I try another PCI express?

A PCI-e card won't go in a normal PCI slot if that's what you mean.

Any PCI-e card should go in a PCI-e slot :)

Do you have a picture or something, because there is a PCI-E WILL definitely fit in a PCI-E slot, I will bet my bottom dollar on it. I have opened my case, My PCI-E can't fit into the PCI slots, are sure you have got a PCI-E card?

I'm positive. I have an express x16 and express x1. They're labled. I might just be a retard...I'm almost positive I got a PCI express card, but suddenly I'm thinking not. This is what the connectors looked like, just not the card. I don't think I got AGP...I'll look and see.

This is on par with some dude bring back a faulty TV tuner card, and when I opened the case, the card wasn't even touching the board. No wonder it didn't work!!!

Pfft, how does that happen? Did he screw it into an expansion slot that didn't have a PCI that lined up with it?
