Trouble with Router

I'm having trouble with my router. Periodically (hours to days), my laptop computer will no longer be able to recognize my wireless signal. I unplug and replug the router, and it will work again. The modem is working just fine, because my desktop never has any connection issues.

Router: Linksys BEFW11S4 ver4 (2.4 Ghz Wireless B)
802.11b with WEP encryption on channel 6
Laptop Comp: Dell Insp 6000 w/ Windows XP Home Serv Pack 2 (using Intel Proset/Wireless)
Internet from: Road Runner with a Motorola Modem

Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I am very tired of unplugging and replugging my router on a daily (or hourly) basis. Thanks.

I'd look for new firmware and reload the router. If this doesn't help, the router may be on it's way out. It's not all that uncommon for routers to die after a few years. I think my old D-Link AP lasted about 4-5 years before it began acting up.
