Troubles installing OS

I still need help starting computer!!!!!!!

See post 6 for updated info!!!!My computer runs fine now. It starts up and all the fans are going beautifully. The monitor remains blank though and nothing happens when I put the operating system in. The monitor stays in sleep because it doesn't recognize the pc. I'm probably doing something wrong. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Try removing your CMOS battery for a few minutes, then put it back in and try booting the system.

I'm trying to plug the monitor inot the video card monitor slot but the video card has not been installed(drivers etc.). There isn't another spot to plug in the monitor. Thoughts?

NEW INFO!!!!
The diagnostic LEDS on mobo read this:
3 lights iluminated!!!!!
When I turn on comp it starts at 4 lights then moves to 3 lights but stops at 3 lights.

key:
4 lights=system start-up
3 lights=CPU detected
2 lights=DRAM detected
1 light=VGA detected
0 lights=system boot up

does this mean I need new ram?

Ok, if you are using two pieces of memory, try booting up with just one.

Hmm....you just have to keep trying whatever you can think of. If worst comes to worst, pull everything out of your case and rebuild it. Few weeks ago when I was piecing my rig back together I wasn't getting any picture either. I pulled everything out, and put it back in and it worked. I wouldn't try that until you have done everything you can possibly think of.
