Troubles picking a motherboard for Core 2 duo

Hey I'm new on this forum and after having bad answers from french forums I decided to try the english ones Razz

So forgive me if my level of english isnt as good as what you can see normally but I'll try to be good.

I'm hesitating between 3 mobos wich are

Asus P5B Deluxe : Bundle seems quite interesting but I've read some audio problems, maybe it was on old version and now all is fixed, that I dunno

Gigabyte DS3 (forgot the complete name): Way more affordable than the P5b deluxe. The bundle seems straight and I read good reviews

MSI 965P Platinium: Same thoughts as Gigabyte's one Razz

The price goes that way:

Asus 222$ CAN
Gigabyte 169$ CAN
MSI 173$ CAN

Thanks you

Hum? For a core 2 duo

I don't know about overclocking now if I choose a e6600 its pretty good without touching anything no?

out of the 3, I think I would go for the ds3. I haven't had any luck with MSI boards. Not that they didn't function the way they were intended but I problems with their drivers in the past and the layout never really appealed to me. The Asus is a great board but unless you seriously need 2 pci-ex16 slots, I think its a little overboard for what you are looking for when looking at the other 2 boards' specs. Try looking at an Asus P5B-E, if you want a happy medium.

The e6600 seems to be a great chip w/o touching it. That is the same chip I will getting soon.
