I took my PC completely apart and pieced it back together, boots into Windows just fine as though it's working. I put in my graphics card driver CD, and I find that it doesn't read. I take the CD out, and restart my system. I go into the BIOS and now I get random characters in the BIOS as the names for my CD drive(s). My Samsung drive is being recognized as Canesung and my CGR drive is being recognized as a GBR. I had this problem before, and I RMA'ed my motherboard.

I don't suspect a jumper problem since I have one drive set as master, and one as slave. The drives both work fine in other PC's. I really need some opinions, so I can like have a computer again...

Thanks,
Aaron

EDIT: I also tried just one drive and got the same problem.

I have had a few boards that did that, the last was a DFI. It would on boot sometimes lose all the IDE and SATA drives or misread them, call them some weird shit. I reflashed the bios on 2 and got them working on the others I used them as frisbees in the back yard!

I purchased a 2GB flash drive today at Staples for $30, and I now have my PC up and running but without a CD drive. I copied my CD's I needed over to the flash drive.
