troubles?

i have a Samsung RW-DVD-ROM Combo Drive (not sure on the exact model), but when i put in the dvd, it comes up with a box and says "Access to the specific device, path, or file is denied" has anyone had this problem. if i try to open it from my computer it says "D:\ The drive is not ready" computer is in my signature.

has it always done this? If so did you ever set the region for the drive?

.....and have u looked in ur bios to see if the compy even recognizes the drive?

i didnt have the right codecs installed. i downloaded nero and now the drive works.
