Troubles

I just reinstalled windows xp home yesterday(activated today) and re-downloaded firefox(like it better than IE). I have a problem. Neither program can properly view forums. For example, I click on the button that says "forum rules" or something like that and it just redirects me to the bottom of the page. This isn't the only forum it does this on.

Any clues?

Hmmm

Have you downloaded a Javascript engine? I mean try downloading this and see if that fixes it:

Installing Java didn't help any. I've tried using Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape Navigator all with the same results. I have absolutely no idea what's going on here.

So far I've tried:
Switching browsers
Installing Java
re-installing Vbscript(for IE6)
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
Ran updated AVG Free
Ran updated Ad-Aware SE
Ran updated Spybot S&D
Ran Hijack this

Any more ideas guys?

Oh, and to make my original post a bit more clear, I cannot view drop-down lists on forums either.

Hmm have you tried tweaking the settings in Firefox? Like the cookies and the security features? Also try installing all of the pluggins for Firefox? If so try messing wirth the settings in your antivirus and/or antispyware software.

I found the problem, and am dissappointed about it. It was Sygate Personal Firewall Pro's stealth mode option.
