I'm gonna be buying a new cpu cooler soon, if I can be bothered.

I was wondering if I should buy the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme or the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

I know that the Ultra-120 X is the better/best cooler, but is it worth the money.

TRUE: $99 + Fans (Total ~130?) (http://www.playtech.co.nz/product.php?action=showdetail&id=4727)

AC Freezer 7: $62.50 (http://www.nzoczone.com/product_inf...=5285&osCsid=825bcc455c28c2a0b7c2e3ca7a670744)

The TRUE will cost 2x as much, is it worth it for the few degrees difference at full load?

The Thermalright one is just about the best heatsink money can buy. The Freezer 7 is one of the most popular cheap solutions. It really depends on how much money you want to spend and how much you're planning to OC.

Agreed with Ramdock. The 7 performs better in most cases than any cooler on the market (air) regardless of cost.

Zigmatek S1283 beats the A64 test for test on 125w by 6-8c I consider that major for a cooler that costs the same.

July 2008 but still goes to show.

I agree with ramodkk for a normal no OC cooler A64 does amazingly well but I hate push pins. Also a major flaw that people never say about the A64 is the fact it has no fan siding.

So if you have a 120mm fan on your side panel blowing in...it will actually slow the RPM down on the A64 causing errors with fan programs/bios because it thinks the fan is dying.

Sadly though your not in the US so it might not be the same deal as it is here...so if your just needing better cooling for stock....your safe with a A64.

its not right,i actualy think the AC7 pro doesnt perform all that well imo.

Well, lets all bow down to Mr Its Not Right. lol.

That doesn't sound right at all. Got any proof?

"Straight out of the box, the Freezer 7 Pro has the kind of cooling performance that will make it a darling with overclockers. It can take on the highest performance heatsinks
head on without hesitation. At its suggested price of US$34, we know of nothing that can compete for cooling performance. Rave reviews and market success with overclockers and gamers is virtually guaranteed." http://www.silentpcreview.com/article285-page6.html

Plus about a dozen other reviews all saying the same thing.

Keep to the facts when claiming someone else isn't right, not opinions. Especially when you cannot even spell.

haha shut it!

ive owned the AC7 in my system,it performed crap and my cousin also has it and its the same!

also why did you edit your post?TWICE? dumbass.

Grow up. Korn asked for proof, i gave it. I have owned one and so does Ramdock. Its a well known good performer and its very cheap. God i wished i knew everything when i was 20 years old...

no you didnt prove anything to korn....you said

any...so your saying that it would beat any cooler reguardless of price.

WRONG!

That site you linked too is a load of crap, you wouldnt see a decent site like 3dgameman.com review a 7 to be better than any other of the higher end coolers such as the Tuniq Tower it just doesnt happen.

Sorry, but your statement isn't true. The Freezer 7 doesn't perform better than the majority of coolers on the market. Also, your post doesn't really back up what you said, it simply states that they think it's good and worth the money.

I've owned one, too. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed with the results. It was barely better than the stock HSF for me. Agreed, it's cheap... but you get what you pay for.

Of the two, get the TRUE.

Dude the AC7 will get blown out of the water by many coolers out there, especially the high end ones such as the Thermalright Ultra eXtreme 120. Hell, even my heatsink will beat it in terms of performance.
