Truecrypt bootloader and multiboot capability

Hello,

For the guys who use Truecrypt to encrypt their system drives, how does the Truecrypt bootloader work exactly?

I think that the TC bootloader overwrites the bootloader from the MBR and puts its own bootloader there.

After you enter the correct password, the TC bootloader carries on doing what the original bootloader would have.

But what about multiboot situations?

If you had Linux and Windows installed together, the MBR would be replaced with GRUB or LILO.

But what happens if you encrypt a system drive with multiple OSes on it?

Can Truecrypt multiboot?

You probably should not be using TrueCrypt anymore since development stopped back in 2014, however to multiboot, the wizard has a step for it. If you are not using the windows bootloader, you only need the password to boot the encrypted windows install.
