Trust Easy Scan 9600 error: Calibration failed

Hi,

Since I have moved, my scanner (Trust Easy Scan 9600) shows the following error when I try to scan something: "Calibration error". Nothing has changed on my PC with the movement.

I use Win Xp. There are no official drivers for this scanner for WinXp, but this has'nt been a problem for over a year. The website of Trust and the Manual do not provide an answer to this error.

Does anyone know what to do when this error appears?

greetings, Peter

Does the scanned move an drag the light along as it is supposed to? Does it have power plugged in? And the usb cord is still there I assume?

Well, The scanner is not connected to the USB port, but to the printer port.
And when I try to make a scan, the light does not turn on. The power plug is of course connected in the right way. The scanner does moet a little, but not more than 1 cm and then it goes back again.

It sounds like the arm that scans the page may be out of alignment and not able to properly move across the scanning surface. I wouldn't know how to fix something like that; would probably involve taking it apart, in which case, you may just want to buy a new scanner since they are so cheap now.

Try uninstalling it restart the comp. then re install and restart. if u mean there arent any drivers being that u dont have an install disk then u can just unplug it and turn the comp off then plug it in when its off then turn it on. it might just be it needs to find it when u turn it on for the first time like that. :D hope it helps
