I bought a refurbrished PlayStation2, it had some video artifacting so I exchanged it for another refurb and it works just fine. A little different than video cards, but you can always return it if there is a problem.

i usually wouldnt trust a refurbished card but if its from newegg.com i would reconsider. i really trust them and im sure if it didnt work they wuld send another.

so if i were to buy a refurbished videocard with a warrenty should i even worry about it because i could just keep exchanging to a get an actual good one??? or should i just skip all teh bs and get a new one?

my current grafics card is refurbished. that saved me 1/3 of the price.
i Oc'd it beyond ULTRA lvl's and still havnt problems.

and like cromewell said, if somethings wrong, you can return it (usually).

i dont see a reason why not to trust them ;)

Newegg.com does not test any product, including refurbished items. Refurbished components are therefore only tested by the original manufacturer. Due to the varying quality of manufacturer testing, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK BUYING REFURBISHED PRODUCTS. Refurbished items are OPEN BOX products that contain components that have previously been owned by other clients and returned to Newegg.com. These products are sold considerably under cost.

Refurbished:
Equipment which is usually used, and has been inspected and tested by Lake Erie Systems or directly by the manufacturer or their agent. Parts of the equipment which are deemed to be defective or worn, aged or otherwise unsuitable for proper operation may, at our discretion, be repaired or replaced to improve the operation, quality, reliability or visual appearance of said equipment. Equipment which is represented as refurbished is generally suitable for normal operation.

what do you think? sounds like it'll still work. you should have no problem at all, the only thing i'll look in is the price. if the price is a huge difference, then i'll probably get it, if the difference is around $10(tax, shipping, etc..), then i'll probably just get the new one. why? first off, i'll have to wait for the product to arrive(new or refurb), but if it doesn't work, i'll probably have to ship it back, wait again, get another refurbed one... all the time and hastle.. i'd rather have a working one.

i cant remeber the name of the video card off the top of my head and i was to lazy to bookmark it and it was like a $90 difference and the warranty was like 30 dollars.
