Trying to add another harddrive

So I figured that an old IDE drive that I had laying around wasn't doing any good just sitting there, so I added it to my computer. I currently only have SATA drives connected. Anyway, I have windows ME on it from my old computer. Is there a way I can connect it and delete ME from the drive so I can just use it for storage? When I start it up, there is a conflict between the drive with XP and this one. I seem to remember a thread on this a while back, but I can't seem to find it.

As long as the new drive isn't in the boot order before your XP drive it will boot XP fine. Then you can just format it or whatever you want to do.

I think it's something with my bios, when I go to combined mode (SATA and IDE) it defaults to the IDE being read first. When I go to the page that lists the order of the hard drives it lists my Raptor (which has Wind XP on it) as the first bootable drive, but it still defaults to the IDE drive first. Here's a screen shot to explain a bit better.
