Trying to build a computer

For the last couple of days i have been working on finding parts for my first computer build. The computer i am trying to build will MOSTLY be for "gaming", but i would like to also try to use virtual machines (as in running more than one game at once). The virtualization isn't as important as the actual gaming part. These are the parts i have come up with so far.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition - $$183.99 (THIS IS THE ONE I WOULD PREFER)

COOLING: XIGMATEK Dark Knight / 5 FANS - $49.99 or less (might not be right one)

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard - $119.99

RAM: CORSAIR XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600

GPU: BFG BFGE96512GTOCE GeForce 9600 GT OC Video Card - Overclocked Edition, 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, HDMI Support-$79.99

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard DriveWestern Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive (dont know what raid is LOOOL) - $70.00

CASE: Lian-Li Lancool PC-K62 - $100

PSU: CORSAIR 750W Modular - $149.99

OS: Windows 7 home 64 bit- $100

If you have any suggestions or better things i could use please say. The graphix card i put was the wrong one and i can't remember the one i wanted. Also if there is a better ram part i could purchase please say. All of these things should be compatible with each other. Lastly my budget is $1,250 to the max.(i can get the money if i need a little bit more)
If you need more info make sure to ask that to.

You could probably cut down on the PSU so you can focus more of your money on a GPU. Any decent 500w will power that rig. I would also swap out the Phenom 965 for a 955 black edition for a few reasons.

1.) The 955 is a black edition, which is better for OC'ing

2.) The 955's TDP is rated at 125w, where's the 965 is at 140w, therefore making the 955 better at OC'ing and consuming less power (keeps cooler too :good:)

3.) Cheaper, and can be easily overclocked upto 3.4ghz (965's clockspeed)

Corsair CMPSU - TX650

HIS 5770

Phenom ll 955 Black edition 3.2ghz

Rest of the rig looks pretty good :good:

They make a 955 and 965 stepping C3 that are both 125W.

But I do agree, I would save the 30 bucks and get the 955.

I'm not exactly too fond of OC'ing, but in my first post i wanted to use virtualization to run more than one game at once. Wouldn't i need a bigger power supply for that. Also i never really had to change a power supply so if anyone could recommend one that is "500w" that would help. lastly is there anyway i could i get better ram for the same or a lower price. thanks.

Get a Corsiar 650TX, they are $99 and see if you can afford the 5850 for $300. This GPU is much, much, much, faster than the 5770. It is a large upgrade from the 5770 but it does cost more. The 650TX will easily power your system.

You do know that the i5-750 is faster than the 965, correct? Most people are thrown off because of the freq.
