So I posted one before but i updated and want to see what people think about this. I'm a first time builder, know common parts of the computer and know what the common uses of the parts are only but if someone could help that would be nice. I'm also trying to see if i can cut the cost without losing quality i would like to keep the motherboard and cpu if possible not quite sure about the rest. This should fix into a mid-tower case too right? Not sure which video card to go with right now either. Also trying to spend only 950$ but if possible would like to go down a bit.

So I have:

1.MSI X58 Pro LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

2.Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920

3.CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI

4.SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP OR (NEWLY UPDATED) HIS Hightech H487F512P Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

5.Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

6.G.SKILL 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7T-3GBPK

You may want to reconsider the cpu and MB to keep in that budget. I priced those two in new egg and added the OS and you are allready at $579. Thats gonna leave you $381 for the following: shipping not included

Graphics card
Hard drive
Memory
DVD/CD drive
Computer case
Power supply

Not to poop on your parade but I've never had luck with G.Skill memory. I'd go with OCZ. Good quality and not much more expensive.

The cheaper you go the less it is going to last........ No much thing as a long lasting pc. Your best outcome is being able to upgrade on the same mobo for a few years until it can't support the newest cpu, gpu, ram, or whatever....

o0o0o ok.. well i dont mind the price im at currently which is 950$ +s&h so im jsut wondering if you guys knew anyway i would be able to lower it but if not then yea.. umm what should i run with this computer? like xp or vista? i might want to run a 64bit so please help. and if theres any videos on how to put together parts that would be helpful b.c. im not quite sure for some parts go to slide it in mainly the cpu which i am most afraid of b.c. it's my first time.

Also i dont have to worry about the Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem fan right? b.c. it says its included so there not need for me to buy a fan for the cpu is there?

No CPU fan is needed unless you want to overclock. Also, if you don't feel comfortable putting it together I'll do it for ya. Just have everything sent to me, I'll assemble, install...all that...and then I'll send it to you. You just gotta pay shipping.

What case and CD/DVD drive are you looking into?
